Rolling Thunder 2016

Rolling Thunder 2016 has come and gone. It was another great weekend where thousands came out and showed that they remember those that lost their lives and never returned home while defending our great country. For the Nam Knights, this is one of the premier events that we all look forward to every year. It was great to see all of the NK Nation gather together for some fun and fellowship. Every year, Rolling Thunder draws thousands of people from all walks of life who want to show that they remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. It draws the young and the old, the rich and the poor, the veteran and the civilian alike. Everyone comes together and proclaims with one voice, we will not forget and we are grateful for everything that those before us have sacrificed for us. It always warms my heart to see everyone come out for this great event. If you couldn't make it this year, please try and make it next year. Rolling Thunder is truly one of those things that I firmly believe that everyone should experience at least once, especially if you ride a motorcycle.

I would also like to take a second to say congratulations to Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers and his new bride Lorraine Heist. Every year, Tim stands at salute during the whole Rolling Thunder event on Sunday. This is a multi hour event and he never breaks his silent attention while the thousands and thousands of bikes pass by him. He takes no breaks. This year, he was married at his post for the event and his new wife stood at his post with him in her wedding dress. Congratulations again, and may your marriage be long and happy.
